My little girl is 2 months old, she sleeps very well at night..... But during the day she hardly sleeps! And if she does it's only 10 minutes and its really hard to get her to do that! One minute she will look asleep and the next she is wide awake! I have tried a few thing but just don't know! Do you have any tips that have worked for you? Or just Ideas?

Sleeping habits continuously change, our daughter went through a stage where at 18mo she would climb out of her crib and go into the living room and turn the TV on and fall asleep. She may still desire to hear your heart beat or feel your warmth. It wasn't that long ago that the blood running through your body was a comforting and soothing sound for her, maybe nice snug swaddle might help. It was fall when our daughter was born and still warm enough to have a fan going full time I noticed that she would wake up when the fan was turned off. We received a lot of comfort from the What To Expect books.

I think that if you manage to get her to sleep during the day, you will find that she is awake at night. Not a good idea! Buy her one of the baby bouncer chairs with the head support and let her sit in there during the day with a few colourful activity centres to watch. She'll love it.

Be happy right now. I know it can be frustrating during the day, because you need to get things done and she is making it hard. My 8 month old girl sleeps about 2-3 hours during the day, but still wakes up twice a night. She did sleep all night from 1-4 months, so it is not fun adjusting back! I don't know how to help with children's sleep, but I do wish you the best of luck, as it can be very tough at times!

What exactly are you complaining about? She sleeps at night but not in the day? And this is a bad thing because? she isn'tsupposed to be sleeping all the time, and if you really want her to sleep more during the day, she is going to be awake more at night, that's the hand off. However if you want her to not be so demanding during the day, buy a baby swing and put her in it, she really just needs the motion, not the constant carrying around. you have to understand that some babies just don't like to sleep all the time
