My daughter has the same problem, and she loves to write. I'll let her help you out. Hi!!! I love writing, too. I have a very active imagination, and my chosen genre is Sci-fi and fantasy. First, stop to think. Are there things in your life you wish were different? Do you have a favorite myth or legend? Maybe it could sprout ideas. What about your dreams? Not just your aspirations, but the dreams you dream at night. If you had a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it? If you had the chance to live forever would you? What would be the side effects of it, or the sacrifices? These may seem like over worn prompts, but most of the best books are, just with an original twist and flavor. And whatever you do, don't let your characters get bored- make their lives miserable, because that leads to an interesting story. I hope this has helped you in at least some small way. TTFN!
