When I was a kid, the summer was never dull, tag football, basketball, fishing, bicyling, lot's of kids in the neighbor hood. Out the door at sunrise, back home by sunset. Few people then had cars or money or TV. Times have changed. Do you think its for the better.

School House rock - This was one of my favorite shows to watch on Saturday mornings...
I don't know if it's better but most people change with the times. Back then just as you, Up and out playing with the sun come up and as long as I was back or around the house where my parents knew I didn't have to come in the house until sunset. There were no cell phones and not alot of people riding up and down the roads, Saturday mornings were our favorite day to sit in front of the tv and watch cartoons, no violence either well not as much as today, Families were closer, times were good. Yes, times have changed, people have changed and it's due to what is out there with the media, how we can make you look better, how to make more money, It's so much more materalistic and greedy people in this world, Way more violence, people with power trips, sick and crazy people(such as child molesters, and killers), We have to watch our kids at all times now, tons of hate and the list could go on and on. If only we could show our younger generation how it was like to grow up when we did. I always wonder, would that make the world a better place...Excellent post...
