What is the earliest memory you have? And what do you think determines how far back your memory goes? My earliest is when I was about 2 years old. My parents had some baby chicks and for whatever reason, they were in a box in the house. I remember sitting on the floor, holding one and my mother having a fit cause she had told me not to touch them. Apparently she was scared I was going to squeeze it to tightly. I just remember how soft and cuddly they were. I don't know why that particular memory sticks with me, perhaps it's cause I got in trouble for doing it, not sure.

My earliest memory is of when I was some three or four years old. I remember my mom taking me by the hand in this huge building that she went to to renew her ID card.

My earliest member is when I was about two and I went to pick up a glass milk bottle that was on the doorstep and I dropped it and cut my hand. I think because the event caused pain, my brain decided to store it as a memory so I didnt try to do it again thus avoiding pain.
