Genshiken, Anime for and about Otaku!

Wow! Sounds great. I would like to see it.

I've watched the two seasons as well as read the manga afterwards. Found out that there were three OVAs of it but, I wasn't able to get hold of the third so I settled with the manga. Indeed, its a must read/watch for any fan that can relate with the interests of this college club and the depiction of reality of the characters couldn't be done any better ^_^ Is there any other series that seems similar like Genshiken?

Yup it is really great, one of the absolute best series I've ever seen, so much fun and you recognize the characters so well. For example one of my friends is just like Kosaka. It's a must see!

It's just too bad the Japanese themselves don't really enjoy the show and the studio had to ax the first season. A second season was scheduled to be aired but perhaps due to the same lack of interest from the local audience it was cancelled as well.

I saw it and I loved it. My boyfriend and I love the series but it's kinda creepy how much we can relate to it .

Genshiken was a pretty good anime....Sad to say, I could've related to this anime about a couple years ago when I had a buddy that used to live up the street from me. Me and about 5 other friends would always go to his house and chill out and watch anime, play games, etc....When I watched the episode of Genshiken where the club room was going to be shut down and they didnt have a place to hang, it reminded me of how it felt when my buddy from up the street had to move due to a family situation. But great anime in my opinion
