How Do You Console Your GirlFriend/Wife?

I just can't console my girl friend when ever she needs it. When I do something wrong she just breaks down. When I try to explain her that it was just a silly thing she just doesn't listen to me. Can anyone with good experience in love give me some tips how to go ahead with it? I would also like to hear about few incidents...Many thanks..

First of all, you can't tell her that "it's just a silly thing". Women do things and looks for certain responses that mean a lot to us. If you regard it as insignificant, it's crushing. One problem we (women) have is when we don't explain exactly what is bothering us. We think you should know us well enough to KNOW what's wrong (and sometimes, darn it, you should) LOL But ask her what is wrong. Ask what can you do to help? Pay attention to her problem. Don't offer advice unless she asks for it. Most of the time, we just want to talk and get it out. We don't actually want you to solve our problems for us. Just listen.

see buddy .First learn more about your partner .Whatshe like the most and what she hates the most.Then if u have to console her/him get her what she likes the most and then try to get ur words into her head slowly and convincingly.Mainly use sweet talk.And have lot patience buddy,consoling takes a lot of time but dont u ever give up.

Thanks for the response. I am always nice to her and she knows that. I have been going around with for the past 3years. I know everything about her, about her likes and dislikes.
