Just wondering how many of us or out there that doesn't mind going to road side sale,I for one love to go to these kinds of sales you can find a lot of good bargans there and that is where I mostly buy my clothes.... you may ask me why because they are already broke in and they do not shrink on the first washing and they are comfortable...confess you all it is time to tell the truth LOL

My mom used to drag us to every garage sale she saw. If I drive by and see something that interests me, I'll stop. I've gotten some great deals. At one sale, I bought an easy chair for $15., a brand new in the box ceiling fan for $15. some knick knacks for my daughter's room, and a $10. entertainment center. I asked her to hold it while I get a truck, and she had some guys that were there take the items to my house. But I've noticed that my eight year old daughter (who loves to shop) is always on the look out for garage sales. So I have a feeling I'll be going to more when the weather gets warm.

I understand that! And it seems when I do go, I end up finding all kinds of great buys - and not enough money. Thats why I only go when I can budget in a set amount to shop with.

I am addicted to any form of shopping, and looking for someone else's junk to become my treasure is one of my favorite forms of shopping. I sell alot of baby clothes and kids clothes when I have my sales, but haven't really found anything in anyone else's yard sale that would fit me as of yet. I do like second hand stores though :)

When I was preg. with my daughter my family would go to yard sales and get baby clothes. Half the stuff that they bought still even had the tags on and they got them for like a dime an outfit!

I enjoy garage sale-ing, but I try to buy clothes that are of reputable brand. I also like to swap baby clothes and mommy items online on a swap baby site. It is free to use and you get to set your own prices for what you sell.

I am addicted to garage sales lol. Nearly every Saturday we head out looking at the garage sales and grabbing some geat bargains. Last week I got a bag full of jumpers and clothes for my daughter...most looked brand new. Being a single mum it helps me save heaps of money. I also find some great bargains that I resell on ebay

I have to confess I love yard sales. I have bought a lot of things at yard sales for pennies. I even have my own yard sale, twice a year. I love to shop and if I am getting something free because of a coupon and or rebate I will buy it. I then take this over stock and sell it at my yard sale. This way I make a little money and someone else saves money. Its a win win. I also like the fact that you can bargin with most people. I like when they are asking #1.00 and then settle for .50 cents. I have also met some that are so into the barter like me that we start out with $1.00 and end up with 1/2 cents involved. It is great when you make an offer and they make an offer and you counter and they counter. This to me is fun. I get great deals on clothes and I have even bought a bottle of Bacardi Rum at a yard sale.

I love going to garage sales! But I never really buy clothes. Mostly because there are never any that fit me lol. I mostly look for books, and after books comes dvds. Things are just so expensive new that I'd rather get them used. It doesn't really bother me. The only thing that would bother me would be sheets or something. Even if I washed them myself I still couldn't use sheets from a rummage sale. It's just a personal thing I guess. I also like when I go and find something I wasn't even looking for. It's a nice little surprise!

For some reason I like going to them to tell you the truth lol you never know whats going to be there, you might find something you like, or need! Me and my grandmother go all the time, shes a huuuge garage/yard sale fan. She finds collectables, antiques, and furniture then fixes them up and she sells her stuff at antique shows and on ebay. She makes a lot of money off of it, and its a lot of fun!

I love going garage selling on saturday mornings. Sometimes even my kids come along. There's always something you need or would go perfect in some room of your house. In my case, I'm a complete fanatic about baby garage sales. Clothing toys you name it and I will get it.

I don't usually go to garage sales. But it is a good way to find bargins and collectable items. Good point about the clothes...especially new jeans. They do like to shrink and you never know how much they will shrink.

I love yard sales. Last summer when I was off Friday or Saturday I would always put my son in the stroller and we would walk around base looking at yard sales. We almost always ended up finding stuff we wanted. We would have the basket under the stroller full and bags hanging on the handle of the stroller (as long as they were lightweight of course). I buy all kinds of stuff at yard sales. Mostly books and clothes for my son, though. You can buy childrens' books for a quarter or less at yard sales. They cost $5+ if you buy them new. Same thing with baby clothes. I can't wait until it gets warm enough to start having them again! :)

I actually love going to garage sales - you can find really good deals that way. So many times people get rid of barely-worn clothes or vintage clothes (awesome). You can find cheap books, music, etc. that people are just tired of. If you're good at spotting decent collector's items, you might find something worth listing on ebay and making a profit.
