I heard that if some one takes their photo with sun setting in the back ground, is an indication that their life is also setting and will shorten their life span. Usually sun rise is associated with starting new life and sun set is associated with end of it. This must have been the reason for this belief that taking photos with sun set shorten your life. Have you ever taken your photo with sun set? Do you believe?

I've never heard that, but I wouldn't pay it any attention. I think having the sunset or sunrise as a background is very beautiful! I've even taken a picture of just the sunset. I haven't had the chance to get one of the sunrise, but thats because I'm not an early riser.

Depends upon the point of view. If you look at
it philosophically then perhaps it could mean
the twilight of one's life. Looking at it from
the photographer's point of view, it would most
likely represent the beautiful aura that's created
between the horizon sun and sky. ‹(°¿°)›
