Training/Profitability

What do you think most US companies lack that don't make them profitable or successful in any kind of market? Do you think it's lack of training and/or support of the workers, or just degreed yet, uneducated business people in high paid jobs who don't know what they're doing, or both?

I think it is the lack of respect for the worker and the lack of good management
