Does your dog get back at you when you make them mad?

When my girls pester our dog, he finds something of theirs, gets it in his mouth and then stands in front of them so they can see it. When they tell him to drop it he runs and they have to catch him to get it. Not an easy task! I gave him a bath one day and he went out and got all muddy so I gave him another the same day. He got up in the middle of my bed and peed. I knew exactly what his feelings for me were at that time! Have you had this happen with your dog?

I have a chow-chow. They are know as one of the most hard-headed breeds out there. She gets mad at me, then holds a grudge. She gets over it, with time, but she has not messed up anything. Once when I was babysitting, I guess I gave the baby more attention that I did my dog. When I put the baby down for her nap, my dog went over to a stuffed animal that the baby was playing with, picked it up in her mouth, and shook the heck out of it. Then put it back on the floor and walked away. She would not get close the the baby, but once the baby was gone, she had her revenge. I think that was one of the funniest things I had ever seen her do in the past 12 years. My chow-chow is extremely social. She is a great dog and loves people. She does not care for babies because they pull her fur, but she loves little girls that tend to make a big fuss over her. When she meets someone she does not care for, she walks away or stands between me and that person.

It's so amazing how you can really see the human traits in a family pet. We just adore ours! He's a Yorkie/Pom.

Your dog is smart. I guess he can express himself well with you. =) here's a joke about dogs: A man follows a woman out of a movie theatre. She has a dog on a leash. He stops her and says, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help but notice that your dog really seemed to be enjoying the movie. "He cried at the right spots, he moved nervously in his seat at the boring parts, but most of all, he laughed like crazy at the funny parts. Don't you find it strange?" "Yes," she replied, "I found it very strange. He hated the book!"
