Good Diet Snack Foods

I'm needing to buy snack foods that are healthy. I'm not really dieting, just trying to eat better. No chips, cookies, or anything else that is equally fattening. I've been snacking on fruit, but I need something else for my sweet tooth.

Put bananas that are over ripe into the freezer. Whip them when frozen with a little fat free milk. It's like ice cream. Very sweet. Or snack on frozen grapes.

Although fruit is good for you, you have to be careful about what type to get because they have a lot of sugar. ALTHOUGH you do process that type of sugar better than "refined" sugar. Some fruit like melons (cantaloupe) burn more calories than you are putting in your body. Vegetables are always good and are considered either neutral calories or negative calories (meaning your burning more than you consuming). Other thing would be, popcorn, water of course, Iced tea fills you up and has good qualities in it. Yogurt it very good for, helps to regulate your met. and put good bacteria in your system. Some cheeses are good, yellow will kill a fellow. If I can think of any more I post

My favorite snack is string cheese, those mozzarella sticks. The have protein so they give you some energy and help tame hunger. Carrot sticks are good too. For something sweet, I always have pudding packs on hand, they can be filling and one little carton only has about 120 calories, half that of a regular candy bar. I like dried fruit, but it can give you unwanted calories-- it packs a lot of sugar in a small space, and I find it easy to eat too much. I also found that it gave me cavities if I didn't brush soon after eating it.

You should take a quick peek at Weight Watchers. The point system works well and that way you can save points for treats everyday. I just seems so much more realistic. I think you can even just join on line. NO meetings or anything. Not sure of the cost though.

I like the jello sugarfree/fatfree cups. You can buy them readymade in the sixpacks or you can make your own from the mixes. (these are also good cause you get some calicum from them1) Check the frozen food aisle. There are so many WONDERFUL popcicles and frozen treats that are sugarfree/fatfree. I also like to freeze grapes. About a half cup per baggie. They last a long time when you eat them (I like to eat them while doing myLot etc) They are a bit expensive but I love the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches! They are huge and on weight watchers they are only 2 points! They too are in the frozen food ice cream section. The sugar free hot chocolate (swiss miss is very good!) is a good thing when you are craving sweet. (also good cause it has calcium!) I like to get the fatfree caramel (in the produce section) and cut an apple and dip it in the caramel. One can have 2 tablespoons of the caramel for very few calories. It is delicious and really satisfies a sweet tooth, and you are having a piece of fruit!!

Fruit usually helps me with my sugar craving. I also eat Veggie sticks but that would not be good for your sweet tooth.
