removing water stains from seagrass carpet

some water leaked onto the seagrass carpet in the room I rent. I thought that once the water had dried out the stain would go but it didn't and now I have a noticeable patch on the carpet. Its not so big, but it does stand out. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the stain?
