What Happened to the Kings This Season?

After 8 seasons of making it into post-season, what is happening here? We should not give up all hope, since we still have an outside chance, although we will be struggling our way up from the bottom. Between what we have now and what we had at the end of last season, the biggest difference is a missing Bonzi Wells and Rick Adelman (and his coaching staff). I am guessing everyone has an opinion?

Trying to answer this in all seriousness, you're referring to the Sacramento Kings? and not the Los Angeles Kings.. correct? I never was a fan of basketball. Never was good at playing it, either. Doesn't help I'm only 5'2".

New coach with a defensive mind but players are still offensive minded so is a big difference. Kings just really need a tougher inside presents, artest doesnt post up enough.

I agree. New coach, new mentality that does not fully match with the team buildup. Kings really need to trade Bibby and get a more passing PG, develop Kmart into a Rip Hamilton kind of player, and get a more defensive minded center to take care of the boards.

I am active in various sports (mainly competitive volleyball) and surprisingly I do not care to watch pro sports. However, I was hooked on the Kings of yore: the Sports Illustrated cover team. They had a sense of family, comradarie and offensive style. All that seems sorely missing now; what defense was supposed to have been brought by the changes do not make up for the loss of entertaining offense we had back then. That was my Kings, and I don't know if we (or any NBA team) will ever see that type of team again.
