What Does Your Sunday Schedule Consist Of ?

I have always kept the Sabbath day set apart as a day attending church, of studying scriptures and spending time with family. I have always tried to not get online or shop. Today, we had a major snow storm so church was closed after the first hour. We came home, had lunch and my husband had to work. I went against my own rule and got online. I even posted some comments and answered others discussion. In fact, here I sit at the computer and it is still Sunday. Here is my problem: I am making mistakes and unable to correct them they stay mistakes on mylot. I am feeling very guilty for being online and wondered if anyone else tries to stay off line on Sundays. What do you usually do on Sundays? I do know that next Sunday, I will be stronger and try harder to stay offline. The money that I make on mylots is not worth this guilty feeling that I am feeling right now. Share your Sunday activities with me..

I regularly go to church on Sundays, I did miss this Sunday though. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest and relaxation. I don't feel there is anything wrong about getting on Mylot. I think Mylot is relaxing. I don't think you have anything to feel guilty about. Anyway just look at it like this, you are helping all of your new friends take care of their families by feeding them good food. And you are also learning new things. I get online everyday, I have scripture that comes daily in my email, I start off every day by reading that.

Sunday is just like any other day day to me. I get up and work on stuff I need to do. I'm not a church goer so I don't do that. Besides if the sabbath is supposed to be on the seventh day, would that be Saturday.

I love how each of us can freely make our own choices as to our religious beliefs. We are so very fortunate. Thanks so much for your comment.

I commend you for your convictions...I admit, my schedule on Sundays is a bit different. It varies from Sunday to Sunday, and depends on the time of the year, but I have two basic Sunday schedules: Outside of Football Season: Get up somewhat early. Help my wife get my daughter up and dressed Have breakfast Go to church (usually) Have lunch Help wife with grocery/household shopping Do laundry Dinner During Football Season: Make sure I'm up, dressed, and have my coffee by 8:00 so I can watch all the NFL pre-game activity on ESPN Watch football all day Do laundry and other chores during time-outs, half-time, or games I'm not interested in Not quite observing the Sabbath, but it works for me. During football season, I admit, I don't make it to churct too often, but am pretty good about going the rest of the year. I'll admit, for me, the rest of the day though is like any other day; I'll go online, I'll shop, and do anything else I didn't get done Saturday since my wife and I work during the week.

As a kid it was church and eating out with my grandparents EVERY Sunday. My grandparents have both passed away but I still go to church. It is a big part of my life. Sometimes we don't go because we sleep in and just relax but I think we've been doing that too often lately. I am thankful to have a husband that goes to church though because my dad did not. I did some reading about "keeping the seventh day Holy" and am more aware of what I do on Sundays, whether it's work or for my pleasure or to bless God. I have always been confused about whether "Sunday" is the Sabbath day or if it can be any 7th day as long as you take one day out of the week that you set apart.

My Sunday schedule usually consists of the following activities: 1. Wake up somewhere around Noon. 2. Eat breakfast/lunch, which usually is a sandwich or soup. 3. Clean the kitchen. 4. Watch cheesy movie on tv. 5. Do laundry. 6. Cuddle with boyfriend. 7. Internet, internet, internet. 8. Possibly nap, if I'm tired enough. 9. Take medicine. 10. Go to bed.

My schedule on sundays usually consist of sleeping in late, eating breakfast, going on myLot, checking and writing emails to friends, watching the PBA bowling tour, watch football, more myLot, exercising, myLot again and then going to sleep. I did spend some time at my neighbors house this evening as well but do not do that all the time.

Well since I observe Saturday the true and only Sabbath set aside by God I have no problem working on Sunday. Christ did not change the Sabbath day and he was not resurrected as so many think on Sunday but On Saturday night, he was crucifed in the MIDST of the week on a Wednsday just before the Jew's Sabbath. He said he would be in the grave for 72 hours you cannot get 72 hours from Friday Sundown to Sunday morning. Man not God changed the day and it is wrong. So Sunday I clean house and do all sorts of chores, get togather with family and enjoy time on the net.

I have a lot of respect for you that you are able to consider Sunday as the Sabbath day and actually practice it. We attend church regularly, but like you, we had a wintery mix yesterday so they cancelled services. I have three children, and we attend Sunday School and then Church, then I spend around thirty minutes on Sunday afternoon reading my Bible. On Sundays I'm always around my family as well, but my husband and I usually work around the house, do yard work, etc. I usually go online, too, even if it is just to check my email. We are always together as a family, but often doing our own thing. I feel like you are one of a few Christians who work to dedicate Sundays to the Lord. I've never really thought of giving up my computer, etc. on Sunday. Do you also give up other things like TV or certain foods?

Hi again..just wanted to add something else. After rereading my comment I thought I came off as a little rude, I didn't mean to. I think it's great that you worship in the way you do, I was just curious to find out more about it. When I said I felt like you are one of a few Christians who dedicate Sundays as the Sabbath day, I meant it in a good way. I think too many Christians (myself included) are caught up in our material world, and don't give enough study or sacrifice for God.

Usually my Sunday consists of trying to get my house in order such as the sheets on the bed and stuff like that , it is also a day we go visiting family and friends . I believe in God but do not attend church but my children love going . I do go online no matter what day of the week it is . On Sunday's generally I have to work from 2-8 and when I get home , if the house is tidied I generally jump on my computer after I have my little one's in bed .
