PDF files are great because they can be read on any type of computer or MAC. There is a program that is an add on to your word program that allows you to create any type of file and then save it as a PDF. It is as easy as choosing print for any file you want to save and then you choose to print to the PDF converter and what it actually does is savve the file as a PDF. It is called cutePDF and you can find it and download it for free at cutepdf.com. I use it and it is great.

First of all, you must have PDF software installed in your computer. You can use free-open source or buying proprietory. Personally, I use proprietory - Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro, because I can yell at them whenever there is a problem. Once you have installed, Adobe PDF will directly set in your computer as a printer, so, to convert your documents to PDF file, just open the document and print to Adobe PDF, save as filenames.pdf at your folder. The same way you print a document to a printer that will result a hardcopy, Adobe PDF will generate a softcopy. Hope this will help.

PDF- Portable document file, created by adobe, it is designed to save your documents keeping its original format(fons, colors, page setup etc.) in tact, and free from editing especially if you are going to share them on-line. There are many softwares out there than can do the job, one is the "Word to PDF Converter" you can download the 30 day trial and see it if it suits your needs. check thier website www.pdf-convert.com/doc2pdf/ or if you want you can download the free adobe reader and create new documents form there on, you can also print those msword document you have made already and scan them using a scaner and save them as pdf files using adobe reader.
