Nope! man have an instant instinct. If the man feel that he/she can't do it for long he will automatically breath again. You need a force to do it.

Theres a cruel trick that some kids like to play, and it's when one kid breathes really quickly, ina dn out, for about a minute or two, then another kid strangles the first kid for a couple seconds. What happens, is your body realizes that it is not getting any air, so it knocks out your consciousness, and the person who got choked will fall over and shake on the ground. This is one of the worst things that can happen from holding your breath. Your body will knock out your conscious thought, and take over your breathing for you.

no you cant. the body will override and force you to take a breath. many ppl drown because of that reason...they cant get to the surface fast enough, and the body forces them to take a breath....which means they inhale the water..and drown. its an automatic function.

As much I know, then it should not happen so bad, but it can cause health problems due to lack of oxygen to the brain, in worst case maybe the consciousness might be lost. I have hold the breath many times, and can say that if to keep it tough, I have some feeling of dizzyness afterwards.

No, your bodies natural reflex will automatically switch on after a minute or two, and make you breath.
