I feel many of suffer from attention deficit disorder(ADD) usually induced by work. One of my friend ,a sudent of psychology, said that people with ADD are generally in a rush to do something and exhibit hyperactivity. They are "blind to clutter";they are so busy thinking multiple thing at the same time I found this interesting as I myself feel like a victim of ADD.When the pressure is on to write code, support and fix network problem, documentation etc many small things(like my bike keys , or my wallet etc) go unnoticed .In turn I become quite forgetful. The I go to know about my sapped attention span when I was solving a crossword puzzle in the morning newspaper.I found just could not sit and think clearly over the problem and time and again I became restless. Have you experienced similar incidents short attention span ? What do you think is the solution?

I'd love to meet your friend, and ofter to pay them to look after my son for a few hours. I can guarantee even whilst he's on him medication they wouldn't let me out the door without offering to pay me to take him back. Theres nothing worse than a person who thinks they know more than the sufferer or the parent/carer of an ADD child. I have been kicked out buildings by doctors and specialists due to my son's hyperactivity. And neither time he was naughty, just bouncy. So Im wondering is your friend going to be like one of these so called medical proffessionals?

I am 34 years old with 3 kids. I have found out I had lupus 3 years ago and a year ago discussed with my doctor how I never felt like I could really complete anything I began. After taking a test with a few questions on it found out I also suffered from ADULT ADD. I have worked with mental health for years and thought to myself that was more than likely my problem and now thinking back to my school years (a long time ago) I am sure I had it then people just didn't know about it then.I always hated school because I was in the slow classes I could never apply myslf to the subjects and now I feel like if it would have been known of back then that I would have enjoyed my school years alot more.Don't get me wrong there are some teachers out there that see ADD/ADHD as a way out of having to deal with some children that require extra help.I have been on adderal for a year now take the min. dose and even with my lupus making me feel like I have no energy the meds have helped in more than one ways.
