baldness?

Baldness is genetic and very often linked with men. But there are plenty of women who suffer from balding or thinning hair. It's more acceptable in males though. Unfair but a fact.

With most people it is something that they carry in their family genetics; there are a lot of women that have thinning hair but they use products to help slow down the process of losing hair. More and more men are seeking treatment for bald spots and thinning hair but there are more men than women that are bald. Besides that, women are a lot better at hiding it!

Androgenetic alopecia is the most common type of hair loss, eventually affecting about half of all men, also commonly known as male pattern baldness, and 10 to 20% of women - female pattern baldness. A slightly elevated level of the male hormone dihydrotestosterone probably plays a major role, along with genetic factors. The hair loss can begin at any age, even during the teenage years.

That's a interesting question, THere are women that this happen to but not as often as men. Actually, the bald look is in and it does look nice on some...I will watch this topic. THis is really got me curious myself...
