Why do some people love to get drunk?

i don't know why people love to drink beer, vodka, etc.. i mean, they don't even taste good, right? i've taken a small sip of beer one time just to see if it tastes good.. oh, my God.. what the -?! i just don't understand why people want to get drunk.. to forget their problems? just to have some fun? ok they want to forget their problems.. drinking isn't the solution.. problems don't go away by drinking.. ok they want to have some fun.. what's fun of getting drunk? it makes your world sway, you feel like puking, and you won't remember the ridiculous activities you've done while you were drunk! i've read a lot about those alchoholics.. it sucks to learn that most of them got liver problem, hepatitis, aids, and so on because of drinking with friends.. now i don't want to be a killjoy to those who love drinking.. but why do some people love drinking? i just don't get it...
