it was in the year 2005 when we went for a trip to the northern side of Sikkim, a place known for its beautiful Himalayan views. we stayed at places like Lachung Chu, Lachen Chu. we also saw the Gurudongmar lake which is at a height of 17100 ft. we were a group of 11 friends and their respective families. it was really a trip to remember.

You are lucky to have visited the beautiful Himalayas. I had planned to go in 2003 but could not do so. I will try to go as soon as possible. It will help if u can post regarding which hotels are good, budgeting the whole thing, places not to miss, good restaurants etc. It will help other travellers.

My best experience at the Himalayas was my 8 hour trek to Gomukh, the origin point of the mighty Ganges river, located at over 14000 ft height. The experience was breath-taking, tedious and fantastic !!

Sounds lovely, I'd love to visit one day, and would love to know more about the best hotels to stay in and that sort of thing. I'll be visiting Calcutta later this year and going to Darjeeling and would love to know good places to visit next time I go :)
