Hi, A debit card is linked to a bank account and as such you can only spend what is in the account. A Credit Card is not directly linked to an account and has a pre-agreed limit, with the company which you can spend to. This money is then repayed by you at a later date. So a credit card balance will always be negative, which you then pay off to get back to zero, while your debit account is positive and as you spend it reduces. Hopw this has helped.

A credit card is when you spend the banks money whereas a debit card you are spending your own money.

a debit card when you use it its like a check it come right out of your own bank account but a credit card is like say you use fifty bucks on a credit card well you have to pay that money back so its like a loan walking around with you its not your money but you can spend as much as you want a debit is better because you wont over spend and end up in debt because it doesnt work if you dont have enought money where as a credit card you can keep going and going on spending and end up with intrest for not paying it and it will suck
