I think it is better if the guys are older than the girls in a relationship

Don't you think it would be okay if the woman and the man are equal in the relationship regardless of who is older? I mean each person brings different strengths and weaknesses to the table in a relationship, so if all goes well, they should balance eachother out. That's the hard part...finding someone that balances you out regardless of who is older, no? I've dated guys younger and older and I honestly can't say a few years makes that much difference either way. I also have guy friends that dated younger women that were more controlling and manipulative than the older ones and vise versa. I hope you don't dismiss a woman of interest just because she's a little older and you fear she's a control freak. You might miss out on a great person.

I wouldnt agree with that conclusion. I feel a relationship relies mainly on the right 'balance'. If a guy is younger but is much mature compared to the older woman the balance is still right.

It is better if the man is older, but most women are control freaks, as you say, and nobody can lead them anywhere. They won't allow a man to be a man, which is why they end up with boys in men's clothing.

I think it depends. I think maturity is a better gauge in the relationship. Age is just a number. Imagine if both are 30 years old but both have the emotional maturity of a 15 year old... disaster. I think both parties should be in the same maturity level especially in a serious relationship. That's my 2 cents.

Well for me, age doesn't matter but the maturity level of the person. It what count most.

i agree with you that guys should be older than girls in a relationship.. because as what i have rad guys think 6 years younger of their age.. me and my husband are of the same age.. and i feel he is still so irresponsible.. i compared his thinking to my thinking. not knowing that guys normally thinks younger than girls do. so now i understand my hubby why he acts the way he do.

Sure, maybe if they're both 12. I'm in my 40's. My husband is in his 30's. We have an equal relationship. We are both old enough not to care about playing power games. It would be exactly the same if our ages were reversed.

i don't agree! somtimes there are older man acting like children and sometimes there are woman whoe does the same! i think when you look at age, you may be right when you're begin 20-25 years old, but i think older people already had the expirience in relationships. and why should man do the decisions? in a relationship you've eqal rights don't you think? and what do you mean by the girl tend to be control freak? you mean better organised! it has nothing to do with control! yes i want the bills paid before i get into trouble! my husband just waits untill it's too late, so you pay 10% extra! if you want to be the wall in your relationship, that is ok, if your woman finds that too no problem right! this is only my opinion!

I agree with you that is how relationship should goes. But, I dont completely agree with ur argument. You think the older girl will take control? Well, I give you a fact which I am not lying for. I have a relationship before with an older girl but I act as the leader and I lead the relationship not her. For guys to get older girls in the relationship, the guys have to be more mature then the girls, Usually guys go to maturity stage slower than girls and that is why girls should get older guys.

I don't agree with your statement because your reason is quite insensible. Dont you too thinks that there is no solid reason that guys should be older then girls. You are saying because few idiotic girls shows their idiotic replies about this point of view and you accept it as a truth.

yeah..i once read that girls mature 3 years faster than boys do, so having an older boyfriend is good..i think being in a relationship should not be about whose shall take control..instead it must be a two way traffic. Give and take relationship.

well if u ask my opinion..it actually depends especially if ur with immature guys..i mean, yeah guys can be older in a relationship but you have to treat them like boys for them to act like a man...

It is not the issue whether the guy or girl is older, what is important is, a relationship based on understanding and trusting. In a relationship, both party's will do the decision making by consulting each other and then act on a way they both agreed.

Feamles dont go after older guys so they can have control.The reason is the maturity factor.Most feamles date older guys because they are more mature and have grown up.A girl wants to be in a relationship and not be a babysitter
