Why are we not including our own picture in our profile over the internet?

Well I won't put a photo of myself or my family on any internet site because I value my privacy as well as the anonymity that I can get on the internet. To anyone who knows me I am an open book and always tell the truth including here in discussions. So if anyone who knows me well was reading my discussions or responses, they would know it was me and they don't need a photo. Otherwise, nobody really needs to know what I look like which is why I chose a photo I took on a trip to Western Australia last year as my avatar. I personally think that my avatar is better than anyone that I could choose from the internet plus I actually like this photo. It is unique and nobody else has one like it, which suits me very well indeed. LOL

i don't know why somebody wouldn't put their pictures...i allways put mines even if i am not some kind of angel...but if they think that other picture is most representative for them even more then ..Them...that's it...we are used to it..don't we?...:)

i dont post my pic because of privacy. i dont like my identiy being exposed. hehehe
