this is specially for the women out there, but pertains to both men and women...do you know the dangers of using an anti-perspirant? Ladies, I know you think you need the protection of an anti-perspirant...but you are actually harming yourself in the long run...something that does not allow you to perspire, which is a natural cleansing function of the body, can lead, to among other things, breast cancer. Ask a cancer doctor and the first thing they tell you is not to use anti-perspirant! It clogs your pores. I've used a deodorant stone for several years now and i can tell you that i don't actually perspire worse than i used to, and the odor control is still there...but i know the benefits of using these stones...please take another look at what you're using and consider, for your own health, the benefits of using a stone instead...they are wonderful natural alternatives to the normal methods used most by women and men!

Now that is some very good information . I have never heard of this. So what is a deodorant stone?? Where do you buy them ?? You might have to start a whole new discussion on this topic,as I am full of questions now.

you can actually buy them at many stores these days...it's just a natural stone that has been used for centuries as a deodorant..nowdays, you can buy it in roll ons, like the one i use...you simply dampen it by running it under water for a second and roll it on just like any other deodorant..you can buy actual stones (don't worry, they aren't like a real rock), they're actually smooth so they won't irritate your skin. I found this information out a few years ago now, and have been using one ever since....and they last forever! and won't leave any spots or marks on your clothes!...if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Wow! That is pretty cool! And here I thought that they have no deodorant back in the old days. So, if it isn't a stone....what is it? This is probably something that I would have to get online because I live in a small town...Poedunk as a friend calls it. ha ha

well, they call it a stone, and used to be available only in a big chunk..sort of like a crystal..nowdays you can get it in a roll on..which is what i use..i'm sure you wouldn't have trouble finding one on line.

Some brands are labelled "deodorant" rather than "antiperspirant". Is there a difference? I have never heard of deodorant stones. Where do you get one? What are they like and how do they work?

deodorants are not quite as bad, as they don't inhibit the sweat glands from de-toxifying your body..but they are still not as good as the all natural stone which has been used for centuries. You can buy them in many different stores now, they last a long time, and you're actually not putting anything on your skin that can harm you..please see the post above for more information, and just ask if you want to know anything else!

sorry...i forgot...deodorant is an odor controller, antiperspirant keeps you from sweating...most sold in stores these days are a combination of both...both harmful, as they are clogging the pores

Great idea! I have never heard of a deodorant stone. I have always used secret for many many years. I know I heard years ago that some deodorants had lead in them but secret was one that did not. I will check into a stone though.

Thank you for that information. Where can a person buy a deodorant stone? At any store? I haven't ever heard of them and my doctor never bothered to tell me about them. Nice guy! LOL

just check with your local stores or check on line...some are a little more expensive than regular deodorants, but i've had mine for 3 years now, and it should probably last at least another 3-4 years...even most bath stores now will sell them..

I have heard of this but forgot which was which thanks for reminding me. I have never heard of a deodorant stone I will have to check into this. I don't always use deodorant when I'm just around the house because I know of the harm it can cause to the body. I have found that I don't perspire as much as I use to since I stopped using any while at home. But then again I have the luxury of air conditioner. But even when out of the air I have found I don't perspire as much as I was.

You know, I have been using the brands of deodorant/antiperspirant that reads "Little black dress approved" and no white residue. But you know...it still slightly leaves a white mark. And if you put you cloths on too soon, it will still leave a mark. I have never heard of a deodorant stone. I will have to check this out.
