We live in a modern world and science provide us the fact of our very existence, but my real question is, if science tells us that we evolve from apes through evolution then why does the bible tells us that we came from Adam and Eve as a Christian. Both was included in my study since from elementary through college but also both are contradicting, so which side are you in and how can you explain?

There are some that believe both. Confusing yes, but there are some that believe that God started the process of evolution. I think the story of Adam and Eve has been pretty much passed off as metaphor. I realize that some believe in it wholeheartedly, but these are also the people that deny the science of carbon dating, that say dinosaurs didn't exist, and that the world is only 6000 years old. (the age the bible claims) I believe what can be proven. Evolution has proven point behind it, scientific evidence backing it up. The bible does not. So, my logical mind tells me to follow science. Also, unlike religion, science never stops changing and updating ... they embrace new ideas and work to prove new theories, where religion holds on to their ideals with an iron clasp, even in the face of undeniable proof.

Thank for your opinion, but me I still dont know which side to believe, maybe I'll believe both of them for now, I know its funny but sometimes science inspite of evidences sometimes made mistakes or they miss some pieces of the puzzle and the bible maybe still holding some truth behind there story.

Where has science made mistakes and stood firm despite evidence? I mean ... I don't much care what you believe, but don't base it on false claims. Never once has science ignored evidence ... they constantly work based on that evidence to improve and come to new and better conclusions. Don't make the mistake of assuming on a situation without checking into it first. All you're doing then is ignoring fact in favor of ignorance.

I remember while watching the National Geoghrapic that they once thought that what are instinct base on there evidence are still alive and swimming, it is a coelecant fish, and I came across through things I read in science which they made a wrong proof or evidences. I know science are base on facts thats why scientist are very careful in claiming evidences and proving facts, all Im saying is scientist are people and people sometimes do make mistakes. The bible contain a lot of very intelectual details and gives good values to people, so its really very hard to decide which are Im in, anyway thank you very much for your comment.

I did a study, and now my eyes are wide open. I didn't realize so much of science disproves the "theory" of evolution. I found a LOT of info. Very interesting and good info. Here's the link so I can communicate it all. Please check it out. It is only one page and well worth it. http://www.inner-monastery.com/articles5/evolution.html

Thank you for a detailed opinion, maybe there are a lot of things we dont know yet in this world and despite of the all facts gather by the scientist, the truth could still be misleading. There is something I cant comprehend much about the evolution in the link you,ve posted, its stated there that its not evolution what was happened to some species but natural selection and from there species multiply. But how about the mutation of a species to give rise to new forms of trait either good or bad, isn't part of evolution of species to form different forms to adapt to its environment, people sometimes intervene to this kind of knowledge forming highly resistant crops to increase their yields.

There was an article in a Finnish newspaper about a professor named Leisola, who had studied the evolution theory and found out that it is not consistent at all, it can not possibly be true. So he started wondering if there were no academic people who would have found out the same as he had. Then he understood that most scientists did not dare to publish different research results since their career and a lot of research money was at stake. I found an interestin article: Can science help you to find God? www.watchtower.org/library/g/2004/6/22/article_02.htm It talks about four forces that are extremely fine tuned and if these four forces would not be in balance, no life would be possible. There are other very interesting articles on this subject - creation or evolution - on this site.

You know I don't think it is a problem. The Adam and Eve story is an allegory, it reveals deep truths about human nature not about human biology or history. It is not supposed to be taken literally. Now the Theory of Evolution is not suggesting we evolved from Chimpanzees but rather that Chimps and Humans share a common ancestry. There are documented cases of evolution on record, the Pepper moth is one such case. In Genisis it says that God made the world in 6 days but it also says "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years..." Also consider, a day is the time taken for the earth to revolve once completely, therefore, no earth, no day. all the best urban

as a human being, weak and limited, the only tangible and graspalbe things are the physical things so my side is on science. but that doesnt mean that we should ignore the metaphysical aspects of physical things. i think that we should balance both beliefs: that the existence of physical things are results of a intangible and supreme power.
