Italian food vs. Mexican food

What's your favorite out of these two? I'll have to go with mexican food. I simply love the spice in it and all of those condiments you can add into them. To me, there's nothing like having a good chilli taco or a burrito with lots of sauce as a lunch every once in a while. As for italian food, I'm not a big fan. It's always about the pasta and I don't think it gets much more extensive than that. Plus I'm not even a great fan of pizza. They have the best ice-creams all around though, I'll give that one. So, what's your favorite anwyay?

I love both Italian and Mexican food but I would have to say that Fajitas are my all time favorite. If I find a place that has fantastic fajitas I find it hard to try anything else. It is all in the ingredients and the spices. Not to be out done by the italian Ice creams, there is also fried ice cream.

Wow this is so hard for me I love both so much Actually these are my two fave food types ever. I think if I had to pick one I would say Mexican because I can eat it everyday! every single day! I love Guacamole and salsa, and sour cream and tacos, enchiladas, burritos they are sooooo good!

hi there, i really like those spicy foods including the mexican foods. great taste obviously! but i have to argue with you about the italian food. when we talk about the italian food we musn't get the border to pizza and pasta only. there are lots of tasty dishes there. well, it's really impossible to fly over to Italy just to review their dishes.lol. so why don't you try to visit this website. www.davidrocco.com. i do sure you'll be in mouth watering if see those dishes.

I am aware that there are other types of italian foods, I just prefer mexican over them anyday anyway, alright? What about you, choose one?

That's a tough one...I love both. I really like bean burritos and veggie fajitas and chips and salsa. Still, if I had to choose, I guess I'd say Italian. I love to make pasta in many different ways. I love gnocchi and veggie lasagna. I love pizza, minestrone, and Tuscan bean dishes.

definitely with ya on the mexican food. i like pasta too but nothing says fun like making your own tacos, burritos or fajitas at home.

My goodness, your discussions makes me hungry. You do know a lot about food and cooking and it seems as if you realy have a passion for cooking.
I can not decide between Italian and Mexican as I love both. Some people will probably kill me for it , but I love combining the two.
Realy spicy pasta with lots of cheese, my whole family including the dogs love hot hot food and pasta and variety of cheeses.

How can you talk bad about italian dishes if you don't live in italy ?
I live in Rome and it is not all about pasta and pizza (old stereotype) ! The real italian dishes can only be found in Italy ! Everything outside Italy is just a cheap imitation ! It is a fact !

Well, you should know better than me. Can you recommend something truly italian then? I was referring to italian cuisine in general, and in a worldwide scale is all about pastas and pizzas.

I am Italian so I have to vote that way, there is so much more then pasta. You have your Parmesans (chicken, eggplant, veal etc), then you have your seafood like Calamari, Clams Casino etc. Sausage and peppers, Tuscan Steak, Filet Barolo......There is so much more but I could go on forever.
I like Mexican food but has to be authentic- not like taco bell.

Yeah, I get your point...I also only happen to like authentic mexican food and buy it on the right places, not those plastic-food style fast food chains. Thanks for italian food tips, I'll need to look further into it, because pasta doesn't really does much for me.

Whoa... this is an extremely close call to make... LOL
I love both very much actually but if I really have to choose one out of the two... then it is Mexican Food.
Main reason being I love the spicy and sour taste of their super rich food like Jalapeno Peppers.

My choice is definitely Italian food... I don't really like mexican food at all. Too spicy for me! Pasta is my favorite, I'll eat almost any kind of pasta, from lasagna, to spaghetti to noodles! I could live with eating Italian dishes every night!

I think that italian food is the best in the world(it's normal at the same time I'm italian)best dishes to me are lasgne,cannelloni,pizza,olive ascolane,saltinbocca alla romana,coniglio alla caccatora,zuccata.Sorry if the most people will do not know a lot of these dishes but it' normal cause when you talk about italain food people just know spaghetti or pizza lol but you know there so many other dishes but it will take a very long time....
