I have visited Baguio City two times. The first one was in 1998, when I was third year high school. I was privileged then to represent our school in the National Youth Congress held in Teacher's Camp. There are three of us who have gone there -- SBO president, me (vice president), and the adviser. We stayed there for one week. The weather is very cold and relaxing. How I wish I could live in such kind of environment whose ambient temperature is very good for thinking and planning. We also went to Burnham Park, Mines View park (which is a very small pot in the side of a cliff, how terrifying), and PMA. The terrain in Baguio City is just like that of Davao City. It is a city within a mountain. The second time that I went there was in the following year, 1998, when I was fourth year. This is because I won the regional school's press conference held in our school in Tagum City National Comprehensive High School. I was rank six and seven places are needed. I was a sportswriter in Filipino category by then. The national school's press conference was held in Dagupan City. And after a week of the affair, we went to Baguio City for just one day.

I had my practicum in La Trinidad, Benguet but me and my team mates resided in Baguio City for two months because of the night life... hahaha! Our professors were against it, but they had no choice, we had no guardian and we were paying for our own food and lodging. What I miss most about Baguio is its cool weather. I love jogging at night and see the fog creeping in the streets and coming out of my mouth whenever I catch my breath. I also miss waking up in the cool Baguio weather. I love the people, they are so liberated there and culture of the place can be seen everywhere (at that time). The low taxi rates and honest taxi drivers are also a shock to me. You are right, Baguio is one cool place.
