One of my remote controls keeps telling me its needs new batteries on the screen. When I put them in, 5 minutes later it still says I need new batteries! Have you had any problems with remote controls? I'm sure everyone has! What are you experiences with them?

No problems! But my mum always has trouble learning new remotes. Probably principally because she cant see.

No problem there, Radio Shack has this Giant Button remote control that's designed just for such a person. It's cheap, too! :)

television remote controls can be very annoying. my remote for my television works very well. my old television remote was very faulty so I threw it away, as well as the television.

Buy a new universal remote. The power source chip in your remote has been compromised... Some universal remotes cost as little as $4.99, which may be less that the cost of the batteries you pay for...
