running after money , why do we run after money always?

When we are eating food, whether ordinary food or a great feast at one stage all of us say that,Okey that is enough and i am satisfied. but with regard to earnin money no one stops at any normal stage until unless he is not able to go for earning money. He always runs after money. Why this is happening?. Don't we get satisfied with what we have earned? What is the reason?. This was not the case in yester years.... Can you tell me....
