I think they are both great partners when talking about opoening batting, If sachin opens then I think sehwag dont have the chance to play and he doesnot fits in the squad, he is not at all a good middle order batman. I think that is why the managemnt is trying with sachin batting at the middle order

In my opinion, Sachin n Ganguly should open the innings for India.They have made a lot of records as openers and they deserve to open .

Sachin should comedown to middle order. he is not playing like how he was playing earlier. so, he can give a support & standing in middle order. dhoni & ganguly should open the innings. dhoni should play in the place of sehwag. dhoni too plays explosive shots like sehwag & gilchrist.

yes of course they are the best opening pair of the cricket world and they have proved that in past. you can see the tuning between them during the whole partnership especially when they take runs. also this left right combination do magics an it is very difficult to settle down for both bowlers and fielders of opposition team. so i think this should be the opening pair for world cup 2007.
