What lies behind the attraction of the macabre ?
I for one eagerly watch for the newest horror movie , I looked at each and every picture of real-life murder and death on sites like rotten.com and ogrish.com , I watched most of the "faces of death" movies , I looked up Saddam's execution video on the internet as soon as I heard of it ,I downloaded most of the "Irak hostage beheading" videos like Nick Berg.
Do you share this attraction ? Is it sick ?

To the masses, it is most likely considered sick. But to some, as myself, I think it's human instinct to be interested in the odd, the taboo the things we were all told as children NOT to watch or see. I have a great stomach when it comes to this stuff, it's smells I can't handle. It does not bother me, nor tantalize me. I will say this, I hate horror movies due their bad script and story plot most of the times. I cannot force myself through it. But the gore isn’t an issue at all.
So in my long winded way, I say, no I don’t think it’s sick.

I personally enjoy a lot of gore and such in films and tv shows,
But there is such a thing as taking something too far,
I wouldnt go out of my way to find things of a violent nature, and the fact that people do just means everybody has their own interests

I love to wath horror movies. The older ones seem to be better. These new ones are just plain stupid. I can handle the blood and the gore with no big deal, when it's on TV. But when it's real, like 9/11, then that's a different story. I wouldn't go out of my way to see something bad like that. But I tell ya, I'd love to find a new horror movie that's actually worth seeing.
