New High Pay at Associated Content!

United States
January 22, 2007 12:21pm CST
I'm so excited. This morning I woke up to find that Associated Content was offering me $14 for an article I wrote. It took me less than an hour to write to that is $14 an hour pretty much. Do they pay more as you write more?

Congrats!!! I've just submitted my first two articles for publication (one last night and one today) so we'll see how that goes. I think they pay more when you have more clout (more page views), but I could be way off base on that.

That's great! Congratulations! I know they pay more for articles that are more creative, informative and on popular topics that they think will be viewed more. Also, if you have a history of many visits to your articles by readers, they'll start to pay more. Nice job!

That's great, what was the article on? I'm definitely doing something wrong, I've never gotten more than $7 or 8 from them, and I've been a professional writer for more than 25 years. I've got to find some really hot content area or something.

I've made $10 a piece for pieces that I wrote in the travel section on less popular places. The one that I wrote on the Miami Seaquarium only made $5.

That is great news! Maybe they are paying more for the new year. Or maybe you wrote a fabulous article that deserved $14!! Either way, that is just fabulous, and a great way to earn some extra money.

Ah, thats annoying!! Associated Content looks brilliant which is a real shame because i live in the UK and its only avaliable to US citizens to recieve payment for their articles. Do you know of any similar sites that are open to UK citizens by any chance?!

A lot of these pages that really do pay requires that the participants are legal citizens of the United States. It seems that it's a lot easier for Americans to make money online than it is for anyone else.

Hi pmcdee, try Constant-Content. I'm in the UK too and I've made over $500 from this site so far. My earnings seem to go up each month. I try and write for as many 'requested material' posts as possible, but I also sell a lot of articles on other subjects. Also, you can upload previously published stuff, so long as you only offer usage rights. I've sold a lot of stuff more than once! Good luck to you - I'll put the link to the site on my details page (if I can figure out how... I'm new here! lol)

Excellent, congratulations. I might try this myself, but I'm glad for you, too. I never heard of it before, you could probably find out by looking up FAQ's on the website or send an email to them and ask.

They seem to pay more as your article hits get higher. I get paid more than I used to. My own high pay was $12 and it was a week or two ago.

What do you do to get your hits higher--tell friends & family about your page, put the link in your emails, etc.?

Yeah anything that will get you more page hits. If you write about one subject alot, join forums about that subject. Don't go in the first day and spam. Make some good posts for a week or two then maybe mention your articles. Or put your link in your profile there or something.

Could anybody tell me how long it usually takes them to get back to you after to submit your article? I know it says 5 business days on the website, but it's been more than that for me, so I'm just wondering. Thanks.

I think that they will also evaluate the content, as if you wrote down a really good one or not. But you have a natural talent, take advantageand keep going. If it didn't take too too long to write it and get that offer, you might have a very good future in this business. Congratulations and I wish you the best of luck!

I tried to go and become a member so that I could write and get paid for articles but atm they are closed to new people. I am hoping that soon they will be open and I will be able to start doing this as well. As to your question I don't know but if I do become a member I will try to find out and give you what I find out.

Actually, I've found that the clout index hasn't affected my pay much. The highest paid article I wrote, was also the first, at $15. It was a very in-depth article, but still! I have since reached $13 as my second highest. Most of mine go for $8-$10.

Have you found that longer articles will get a better offer? Or ones with photos? I'm still trying to figure out what can get me higher offers there.

I also think if they pay more then either they will veryseriously evaluate your article. otherwise they are scam.

They are far from a scam, I have earned quite a bit of money from them in the past couple of weeks and it is already sitting in my bank account waiting to be spent.

They are still paying the same, butyou get more all at once if you get several articles approved at once. The trick is to write about 10 articles and then submit them. If they all get aproved on about the same day you will get more money. It's just in a lump as opposed to being one approval at a time.

I'm guessing that your clout has gone up. Whenever you get more page views, your clout goes up, and you get paid more because you're bringing in more people to their site. I know you can't see your clout right now, but that's my guess. I know my offers have gone up a lot too, I'm pretty sure my clout has risen.

My clout is still only at a one. :( However, I got a new offer...$15 for an article. So exciting. Still, my clout is the same. Very discouraging.

Actually I just saw on a different website that was promoting Associated Content that their pay range is from $3-$40... $14 is by far the best that I've heard though. Have I said congrats about a thousand times already?

I used to see that they paid $3 to $20, but maybe they've raised it. Some higher offers are for videos, so if you have a camera and can put together a few minutes of video on something you can earn more than writing an article. Also they send out messages that list special topics they're looking for; they'll offer say $8 guaranteed for some of these (or more). I try to do those because they pay more and because I know how much I'll earn before I write the article.

Congrats! That's great $14.00 an hour. I've heard that the more page views you have, the more pay you are offered. Keep going!
