Hi all, anyone else love this time of year? Just wanted to see what you've got coming/what your hoping to get... I've got just one mare in foal, due April 1, by Mighty Awesome (aqha). Same cross last year gave me a solid colt (aqha/apha), rough delivery and he was a dummy foal, poor critter is blind in one eye and it a bit...well, dumb i guess! feel bad saying that, he really is slow! Hoping for a spotted filly this year, we ALWAYS get colts, so keeping my fingers crossed. an uneventful delivery would be nice this time too!

Hi there! Love to see a fellow horse person. I have appaloosa's, TB and QH crosses on my farm. My foals arrived 4 months ago, 2 fillies and 1 colt. The mares are due in November this year again. Sorry to hear about the little fella, it is always sad to see foals being born that way. Getting the spots is a science on it's own and very carefull breeding and sometimes a bit of luck. Hope you get a filly this time with plenty spots, which would you prefer a leopard or a spotted blanket.

I'm hoping we get a minimal white paint- maybe some tall socks with a few belly spots. It would be nice to have a regular registry paint in stead of breeding stock. I love app's, especially the ones with the cute little butt blankets! as long as this baby is healthy though, i'll be very happy!

my filly with her mother - Her mother is a appaloosa and the sire, but the sire is solid.
I added a photo with my response, don't know waht happened to it though. I love paints too. But here you get frowned uppon when you cross a appy with a paint. The most important for me is temperament and conformation, but it is always a nice supprize when you get a foal with patterns.

My husband and I raise registered spotted saddle horses and have one little boy that arrived middle January, and another one that is due the end of March. The first is out of our black and white spotted saddle stallion (my photo with my username is him) and our Missouri Fox trotter. The other is out of a Bay and White spotted saddle mare and a friend of our's triple registered Spotted saddle/Tennessee Walking/Racking horse stallion. We have 13 horses all together but only the one still to foal this year. You can see most of them at our website which is listed on my profile page.
