I learnt about Tigion when I was in school, in the year 1973 or 74. It was the cross between a male Tiger and female Lion. Now I am hearing about the Liger a cross breed between a male lion and female Tiger! I am not sure how much truth is behind such tales, because as a Geneticist I know that the two species should have same number of Cromosomes and they shuld have the compatibility before they are fertilised sucessfully! ell I really don;t have slightest idea about the Genetic study of either Lion or Tiger it is really hard to say anything about such cross beeding! Since you have posted an interested posting I will make a detailed study about this and would like to come back to you once again if I get anything concrete about shuch matings and the resilting offspring!
