broken bone - fractured or broken bone
I have been fortunate not to have fracture any large bones, but I did break the bone in one finger. I was playing basketball and the ball hit the finer right on the end with a lot of force. Now of course this would be my middle finger.*insert frown here* Therefore I took a lot of ribbing about the large, glaring, metal splint on the finger for the next 4 weeks!

I broke my collarbone playing two hand touch football and it was a really bad break. The collarbone is annoying whne you break since you cant put it in a cast and only have a sling for support. I was in school when I broke the bone so the worst was people bumping into you in the hallways and the shooting pain in your shoulder that would follow.

Yikes ... Now this must have been excrutiating pain to have to go through. That would most definatley be one of the most painful things that you could break!!

At this point no (knocking on wood). What is really weird is that my brothers broker their wrists right after each other. My first brother was riding his bike and the front wheel came off and he broke his wrist. The second brother... right after my first brother's cast came off... was playing soccer and the ball came flying across field and hit him hard enough to break his wrist. The weirest thing it was the exact same bone in the same arm as the other brother.

Yep - three at once actually. I was in the fifth grade and it was my best friend's birthday. We were jumping on her brand new trampoline and I guess I landed wrong. I didn't notice anything and just kept on jumping and having fun (I have a high pain tolerance). When I got down on the ground I just collapsed and couldnt get back up. My friend's brother helped me and I remember being more shocked about that than the fact that I couldn't walk. Ahh, the innocent naive years.

Hmmmmm. U seem a fighter. Lolz. Yeah, unfortunately once in my childhood my bone broke. I was in class Nursery and it was 1st year of my school life, one day my elder brother came with his friends and took me on playground. My brother's friend tried to run away from my above but he felled down on my arm's bone and my bone broke. Alas! i started weeping and then came back after early aid from my school dispancry.

I have had a couple of broken ribs in the last few years. (One from coughing and the other leaning into an above ground pool to clean it!) bizarre I know. Also I broke a bione in my foot kicking a punching bag (When I was learning Tae Kwon Do) I always seem to do things the odd way it seems. Hopefully that will be it for a while, but I have been told that I have the beginnings of osteoporosis so I have to be careful.

I broke my ankle about 25 years ago. It was extremely painful:-(( I also broke my nose when I was a child but I don't remember too much about it. It was a playground accident.

Not an actually broken bone. I have never broke my arm or leg, but I have broke my little toe on my right foot. Their was a board sticking out into the doorway of my friends bedroom, and as I walked out the door my toe smacked the board and my toe was at a 90 degree angle. It didn't hurt so much as it scared the heck out of me. I taped it to the toe next to it and it healed fine.

I have broken almost all of my fingers and toes. (I play rough sports) I just tape them up and who cares. It never really stopped me from doing anything, but may have slowed down my typing. I also broke my elbow in college. They didn't cast it, as it was sort of a crush and not a very bad fracture. I could still move the joint, so they only put it in a sling. I had friends help me out when I needed it, and my roommate had to help me get dressed. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was my left elbow and I am left handed, so it was hard to write, but I got through it.

i had broken my right elbow, when i was just three years old. and i had broken my right wrist and left shoulder when i was 26 years old. it is terrible to be with fractures and POP around your limb. i had a tough time in the second instance, when both of them happened together.

The only thing I've ever had broken was my little toe. I didn't realize it until the next day and I was on a college class trip to New Orleans and had been walking on it all day. When I took my shoe off my foot had turned black.

Someone broke my collar bone when I was very very little (I wasn't even an active participant in this "accident"). I remember I only felt a discomfort and I didn't even cry. Then I was taken to the hospital and they put this kind of vest on my upper body to force the bone back into its place (when you break your collar bone, there's no way to fix it with a cast!). I had to stay in bed for some time, so I remember it was actually pleasant, sort of.

I had my jaw broken for me when I was around 16 as I needed some corrective surgery done. It was definitely not fun, lol. Last summer I THINK I broke my toe. I bent it back really far on our deck and it hurt for weeks afterwards. Even now, sometimes if I stub it, it still hurts. I never had it checked out as there is apparently nothing they can or will do here for a broken toe, but I will say I walked rather funny for a little while, lol.
