Why do people assume that...

I'm so sick of this happening time again & again at work. People assume that just because you don't have kids, it's ok for you to be slogging 16 hour work days & come back to work even on weekends? Just because I don't have kids, that does not mean I don't need a life!!! And it's worse when your bosses or colleagues throw you that dirty look when you tell them that you cannot work overtime on certain days because you need to get some personal things done. This is insane! what you says people?

your right, i agree with you..... Life need some rest, and the rest can be in different ways, by spending time with kids, with games, with cook and extra... So, your also need a rest, doesn't mean that its depend on kid... Come on my friend cheer-up......leave these people

Well I have kids and I still ghet slogged at work so it's not just you.....but you are right, they shouldn't expect you to do the longer hours and the overtime just because you don't have any children!
