Actually I not been thinking about that particular event in my life just yet. I have told my 8 year old granddaughter that I want to see her get to 21 so I have a few years yet.
As for the donor bit they are welcome to whats left of me when I go but I must admit I have not thought of carrying a donor card.
By the way I have asked you to be a friend and I do hope you will accept me.

I registered as an organ donor many years ago, but have now donated my body to science instead. Once I found out I could no longer donate blood because I have had cancer, I'm sure that they would not want to transplant organs either since some things were damaged with the radiation and chemo. I decided to donate my whole body for research, or learning, with a teaching hospital. I look at it this way, they need to have cadavers that they have a medical history on, as opposed to Jane Doe's who have no records of their medical past. Then if, and when, they are done with it, I'd like it to be cremated and ashes spread on my farm. A memorial service is best in my book.

I will do the same. My body is just my shell and I see my spirit as the pearl. I have already spoken with my children about this and cremation with a memorial service is agreeable to them
