Do you like the sound of your own voice?

Have you ever had the chance to listen to a recording of your own voice? Do you like what you hear? or does it sound different? I always hated the sound of my voice when I hear it of a recorded voice mail greeting or a recorded phone conversation, Don't you hate it or is it just me?

I hate my voice . I find that if I listen to a recoding or anything playing back my own voice I find I sound like some little kid! When I hear my voice on a recording or anything playing back what I say it makes me not want to talk anymore because the thought of other people hearing my voice all the time is how can they stand to listen to me!!! I don't think antbody really likes the sound of their own voice, maybe I'm wrong but I know alot of people say that they don't like the sound of their own voice .

Exactly, that how I feel, I mean I sound like a little boy and I am a female! I hate answering the phone in my in laws' house because people mistake me for my husband's little bro. I was just wondering if I was the only one.. :)

I don't. My voice seems OK if I am just speaking out loud, but if I listen back to a recording of my voice, I can't believe it's really me, and I'm really unhappy with it.

Yeah I feel that way too, when I talk normally I think I sound ok, but on a recording its horrible.

i think everyone hates the sound of their own voice because it doesn't sound like it does in your own head when your talking. I think its mainly that its weird to hear a strange voice and then realise its your own

Yes I heard it when I recorded my conversation with my sister. I would say that I did not expect that my voice is totally different. It sounds like a voice of one of my friends. I did not hate it but I was totally surprised.
