Miss USA Tara Conner checked out of a Pennyslvania rehab facility Sunday and is back in NY, PEOPLE has confirmed. The Kentucky native, who turned 21 on Dec. 18, had been in rehab since Dec. 21. The New York Daily News first reported her release. Conner entered treatment as part of "a second chance" offered to her by Donald Trump, co-owner of the Miss Universe organization, following allegations of the hard partying, indiscretions with men and unreliability when it came to showing up at Miss USA-related events."Tara is a good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance," Trump said at a press conference at the time, explaining his decision not to pull the Miss USA title from her. He described Conner as a woman with "a beautiful heart" who "left a small town in Kentucky and got caught up in the whirlwind we know is NY."At the same press conference, a tearful Conner admitted to drinking while underage and struggling with "personal demons," apologized and thanked Trump for his compassion.
