Yes, that dress/those pants DO make your butt look big.

That's what I would reply if I had a gf, and she asked me that question. And I would expect her to reply, "Good. Let's head out." Why? Because I like big butts. If her dress makes her butt look big, I'm IN on that. This question is a stereotypical example, but women, do you ever really ask this? Guys, does your chick ever ask this? I almost never hear of any real cases of it, and I've never had a girl ask it to me. And most guys don't like a flat butt, anyways. We like 'em round.

Yeah... - big butts
LOL! This sounds like me and my bf! I've been eating and doing my squats & lunges to get my a$$ back up there. I was a little stressed and lost about 15 lbs recently. Well I noticed that my pants were getting really baggy in the back. I immediately upped my calorie intake and got to doing squats and lunges to hurry the process along. I'm filling in my size 10 jeans again and they are lookin a LOT better. So do these jeans make my butt look fat? Hopefully the answer will be yes when I ask him tonight! ;)

Haha, good girl. If that's your butt in the picture, then he should have nothing to complain about!

How refreshing to hear a guy who likes big-butts. How big are we talking? I think it is a matter of proportion, even skinny women can have butts big for their frame and big women can have flat butts which men don't like. Its a matter of hormones, genes and body condition.

Big enough that it is still nice and round and looks good. Once they lose their shape and just become a big shapeless mass, I'm out.

I agree. This topic is something that society has brought upon us without giving us a choice. Now, a 5'8" woman who weighs over 125lbs is seen by society as "fat, large, or needing to diet", and it's all a big crock. But, it does sell size 5 clothes and diet pills by the truckload, and that is what big business wants, a neverending line of customers controlled by what society thinks they should look like. I LOVE BIG BUTTS!!! I love full-figured women; my girlfriend is a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman). Strangely enough, I even get told by friends who do not share my view on BBWs that if they did, my g/f would be at the top of their list. But, like with almost everything, it's all about personal preference, and unfortunately the majority will always rule. Funny, because 100 years ago, large women were the norm, and worshipped for having a full figure. So, it may come around again.....we'll just have to wait and see.

Right on! I have to agree with you, bigger butts are better. My butt is big.. or at least round...well, its shaped like a heart. Lol!! And no, I never hear anybody asking if this makes their butt look big or do I look fat?? Those are things I've never understood. But I must say " your arms look kinda big in that shirt! " Lol!!!Take care

My sister asks me this all the time. She's very insecure about her body. I try to tell her that guys usually like a little junk in the trunk, but she doesn't care. I think some girls are more afraid of what other girls might think, not guys, but being a girl with a "perky" booty myself, I can verify that this isn't always the case.

Brutally honest is how I like my husband to be with me. Whether it hurts my feelings or not. If I don't want to hear the answer, then I shouldn't ask. I'm the same way with him. Jut tell me the truth!. That was our agreement when we first met and it has stuck, even when I was pregnant. I think it makes me appreciate him more because I know he is going to give it to me straight.

Well it is nice to hear your opinion on women. I rarely ask my boyfriend...I just decide for myself. However..I don't think my butt is too big...it is other areas that need work....lol. He would tell me if he didn't like what I was wearing...he has before...and sometimes even my son...lol.

My husband also likes big butts, which is a good thing because mine is and always has been, no matter how thin I've ever been. I happen to like my but being a little on the larger side and nice-n-round. So yes, I would be one that would ask him if the jeans or dress I'm wearing show off my butt, because I happen to think it's one of my best assets, no pun intended, lol!

I don't need to ask my husband if the clothes I wear make my butt look big. I know my butt is big! I pick my own clothing, don't need anyone to tell me that it looks good on me or not. I know it does. : )

I have never asked this question. I have a big butt, we both know it, so why would I ask? Thankfully, my husband likes my butt, so I don't need to worry about it too much.

Its funny to hear you say that about a round rear. My husband always tells me that... when I have my moments of feeling overweight. Of course I haven't come out and asked him about it, but he seems to pickup on my feeling and comes to my rescue with sweet words of encouragement. Sometimes I think he's just talking off the top of his head, but surprisingly a lot of men do feel that way about a nice round rear. So cool...I qualify for that one and my husband must really love me lots! Thanks for confirming that for me. lol

I think it takes a brave man to tell the answer straight to that question. I do but that's because I try not to lie and also I said if you ask you might not like the answer so if she asks I tell.

I have to really laugh at this! Because I do not ask if it makes my butt look fat...I ask if it makes my butt look FLAT. LOL You seem to be doing pretty good! You don't mind doing things around the house and would rather cuddle and concentrate on being best friends with your girl friend AND you hit it on the head saying that you like round butts. So....why don't you have a girlfriend? LOL Personally, I prefer my butt to be round. And I have always looked at the tight fit of some things on women and wonder why they would wear that when it makes their butts look flat. LOL Maybe I am a little butt obsessed. ha ha Because I have always noticed butts on men and women alike. I have to shake my head with sadness when a butt is flat and jump back if it is abnormally too round. ha ha The abnormally round makes me think of this pair of underpants that was in a catalog and I just busted out laughing! It makes a person look like they have a butt! There is no way you would get one of those on my butt!! LOL Of course, I don't have to worry about it because I have junk in my trunk! ha ha

Haha thanks :P In honesty, the main reason is since a bad breakup, caused by many mistakes on both sides, last March, I've been growing and changing a lot as a person, and at this point, being in an exclusive relationship might hinder my growth. There are interested girls, but I don't want to jump into anything yet, as none of them really have jumped out in my mind yet as "wow, this girl would make an awesome girlfriend, and someday an awesome wife!" Not to mention I'm still getting my financial situation in order, and working on building up a cache of investment capital, so that I'm safe in case anything crazy happens, as happened for the first half of last year.

OMG THANK YOU!! I don't do it often, but when I ask my husband if something looks good on me I prefer that he give it to me straight, in fact I have to demand it because he is so indifferent half the time! If my a$$ looks fat then for god sakes tell me so I don't have to look like an idiot in public. Here's what's more important though. Sometimes I ask him if I look okay knowing perfectly well that I look hot. I want him to take notice more than anything because I do it for him and no one else. Still he gets all uncomfortable and even told me it's always a trick, no matter who asks the question. It's really not because I'm sure he can tell when I'm flirting with him and when I'm under a great deal of uncertainty and duress. Even though I'm a female with good fashion sense, sometimes I see a Picaso in the mirror and I need an honest second opinion. I wish he understood my point of view.

To the first 4 responders: Thanks, but I'm not sure my point got across. My point is, I much prefer her butt to be bigger rather than smaller, so I think it's a funny question when she asks "does my butt look big in this?".

I think it is a funny question that any person should ask. Why ask? Just know that you look good in something.

I can honestly say I have never asked that question. I have asked my husband does this look good on me. He answers me honestly and I either choose to still wear it most of the time I change. Only because I like to look good to him not anybody else.
