I would go for the tiles. The would also be heated. I like the natural and they are more durable.

I would go with ceramic tile flooring. It is a lot more durable and longer lasting than linolium flooring. Linolium can get cuts and gashes in it should you drop a sharp object.

Depends on which room, I would choose tiles myself in the main traffic area's like the kitchen, they look so much cleaner and easier to keep clean, I am not a fan of floorboards and I would definately choose carpet for the bedrooms.

Well, by now I imagine whatever you were considering, you have chosen - since this discussion was started 4 months ago. But I'd go with tiles. I've lived with both, and tiles were easier to clean and overall they just looked nicer. What did you decide on?

We have started but we haven't finished we are doing one rooma t a time as we get he money saved up. We have done the kitchen and living room and one out of three bedrooms. I agree that the tile are easier to keep clean and not have ot worry about stains and alot of stuck in dust. Hubby was thinkning carpet in bedroom but I said nah. But hey thanks for posting your opinion to my discussion I apreciate it.

If only more people would do like you guys are - doing it one room at a time as you can afford it. It's sad to see people go into deep debt over remodeling. Good luck with the rest of the house! : )

I've had both. I prefer tile because it is harder wearing and it is easier to clean. It also doesn't fade the way lino will. On the other hand, lino is warmer on bare feet, and it is alot cheaper and easier to install, where as tiling is a big job. Have you decided yet which you will choose?

We are looking at some tile right now we are now and trying decide which brand to buy so we won't be buying it again in five years. My husband wants to install wood flooring in my computer room but I am a little hesitant on doing so Because they have so many beautiful tile out there. I look at linolium as a temporary fix because it doesn't really last very long as you stated and is easier to rip and tear and puncture with chair legs. Thanks for the response I appreciate it..

We just came home tonight from shopping for tiles for the kitchen floor. We have that laminet there right now but decided to take it up in the kitchen and put the tiles down. Really can wait to get it down. A change is as good as a rest they say!
