Labor-- pain free of not?

So many couples would like the lamaze method which I heard is really painful. I had my labor under ceasarian section because my baby's heartrate went very low while I was in labor. I didn't feel the pain during the procedure. It was only after giving birth and I was already awake when I felt the pain from the incision done. How about you? How did your labor go?
