Just as the title suggests, jealousy is the inner-spirit that drives you to do something better in your life, that constantly pushes you to exceed everyone else in the society. Your views please.

I do what I want to do, how I want to do it. I don't feel jealousy is the key driving factor. I could care less who has what...I care what I want. When I shop, I choose what I like, I have never had to go with the name brands that so many of my friends go for. I do not need to be rich, or live in a big house. I just want to be happy, and that is what is important. I work, not because I want to excell in my job and get promotions and make more money than you, I work because I like to eat. I always felt like a key driving factor for a lot of people is greed, but I can see where greed and jealousy would go hand-in-hand.

I dont think jealousy does any good to anyone. I think, if you do something out of jealousy, that work will not have good impacts. For some thing to have good impact, the person who does it should have good intentions. Whatever it is should do good to the person who does it plus to the people around him and ultimately to the world. I personally think we should generate good thoughts and feelings but not negative thoughts. I am really sorry to disagree with you. This is what I really feel. Take care and have a nice day.

it is hard to accept though and I'm well aware of the fact that works done out of jealousy have certain negative impact, but, it helps to develope a competitive spirit (unhealthy though) by virtue of which someone may gain competitive mileage.

Jealousy is a key driving factor...Well certainly it motivates a person to do better than others but jealousy would a wrong word for it. Competition is a better word as people compete in this highly competitive world.

well I don't think that jealous can be a key factor to drive someone to achieve the desired goal. the reason why I think so is that first of all when we are jealous of someone we have a negative approach for reaching a goal.since we use that negative force or negative enegy to get outcome that outcome will never be in full terms or desired ones.jealous factor makes us infected just to think bad and only bad for someone and we alternatively think that we are superior to that particular person without knowing our inner capacity and analysis the other as weaker and there comes the defeat. we can never be encouraged to good things through bad forces or bad feelings.

Jealousy- the word sounds negative to me. More often than not people who's jealous of others tend to do things unconstructively specialy towards that person whom they are jealous about. Maybe somehow, it adds up to ones adrenaline to do things with more motivation but i think jealousy often results to an unenthusiastic and downbeat dealings with other people.

Yes, agreed, it is a sort of negative feelings, but, it works almost silently among many other people forcing them to exceed their limit and do smoething better.
