I love music. But I did not go to music school. So, I never learned a music lesson. That's why I can't read music note. I wish I could! Can you read music note? Have you ever been to music school?

I love music and I have composed several songs, I can read music if I need to, so that I can write down and transpose my songs... Here is a link that will help you with the basics, I encourage you to visit it often, and practice your piano notes daily, it's like learning a new language, you'll get the hang of it... http://www.playpianonow.com/how-to-read-music.html May Musical Blessings Abound for Thee!:)

Hey SweetLady. I only went as far as grade nine in school but in grade nine I had one semester of music and one of typing and they both came in handy in my life. I am now a website designer and need typing skills. So that one semester gave me the basics that I carried with me from age 14 until 29 when I started getting interested in computers and soon became an instructor. Without those skills i would likely still be working back breaking jobs. I also learned to read music and didn't use it until I was 47 and took up playing guitar. Well that one semester so many years ago taught me the basics of reading music and I am light years ahead of those I play guitar with. Well I exaggerated about being light years ahead because they all have been playing for many years and well I am still pretty new at it. But I can read music and they can't so I am the one that puts together the songs we play.

My daughter is a musician. At one point she was going to school for a degree in music education. She promised me that she would teach me to read music. I have never learned and she has yet to teach me.

I started music school for piano when I was 9 years old. I was ready to do my diploma when I was 16 years old, but unfortunately students had to be 18 to do the exam, so I had to study for an extra two years. I was the church organist in our last parish and I also taught music for about 30 years. I am now learning to play violin and as soon as I know enought to play confidently, I intend to take clarinet lessons. If you really wanted to learn to play, you could buy a keyboard, they are not expensive, and you could buy some 'teach yourself' books which are quite easy to follow.

I too love music. I always wanted to learn to play the piana but we could not afford the lessons. I cannot read music or play any musical instraments. When I got married and had children of my own, I saw to it that they learned music. They can both play piana, trumpet and of course they can read music.

I can and I can not. I can look at the music and tell you what is what, but I can not put that information into music. I can tell you the first not is an A flat, but I can't hmmm what an A flat should sound like. Stupid I know.

I didn't go to Music School, but when I was at school in England we had to study music for the first two years at secondary school. So I can read muaic although I'm a bit slow now because it's quite a few years since I had to do it.

I've always loved music. I've been in choir since I can remember. I always wanted to take an instrument, but my mother said no, so I never discovered if I had any affinity for playing music. My biggest failing in choir, show choir, etc. was that I never learned to read music. I just couldn't make the connection between the notes on the paper and the notes that I was hearing. I could tell you what the notes were--a,b,f,etc., but I couldn't sing them. I can still sing just about anything by ear, but no luck reading music.
