hey, what would you do if you have a teacher like this? would you act like a teacher's pet just to get high grades from her? or would you rather just be yourself? because we have a teacher who's very stingy in terms og giving grades, and whatever we do, we just can't get high grades..

teachers DO NOT make your grades. They simply COMPUTE your grades. you are the one who makes your grade. If you are not satisfied with the grade she/he has computed for you, (if you believe you do not deserve the grade she gave you), talk to her. Approach her with respect and ask her to recompute your grade with your presence. It is very normal that we teachers are asked about the students' grades. And I believe students have a privilege of transparency concerning their grades. moreover, if the teacher has nothing to hide, if she hasn't done anything scrupulous, why will she refuse to hear your side without impunity? Teacher's disgression shares only a very small part in the grades you receive. They will not very much affect your total grade if you are studying well.

we asked her to show us our grades a week ago, and we saw our real grades. we got high grades in quizzes and assignments, and she didn't let us see our grades on our project. that's fishy, right? and another incident occured this monday wherein we have to pass our latest project to her when we meet. she didn't go to school becasue she's sick, and told us through the phone that she won't accept any projects because it's late. she doesn't want to accept our projects! it's her fault why she's absent, and she doesn't want to hear our side.. she just ain't the teacher fit for the subject. .

Yeah that's fishy. I think the whole class must unite and complain this to the head teacher of your school. having a teacher like her, unfair, irresponsible and irrational will only influence you in a bad way.

the best thing to do is just deal with it. if you think things are getting that far out of hand and out of control, then its best you if ask you school consuler or priciple to investigate it. if she is favoring or not favoring certian students no matter how good their work is, then the admin will take care of her.
to do that though, you have to find all the students she was unfair too. maybe make a petition or something. but you have to make sure that they didn't deserve the grades she gave.

First, talk to the teacher and ask him/her to clarify how he/she gives grade. Ask him clearly how you can get a perfect score. If you will only assume then you will surely fail. I have teachers from Australia and they are really stingy. But if you talk to them and let them explain what they really expect from you as students then you will have to understand and then you will be on the right track to get good grades from them.
