Does goodlooks overtake brains?

It has been found that the most presentable and goodlooking personality succeeds well in a interview when compared to their lesser previledged who have great brains, but not so attractive looks.
So,are looks all that matter?

In my opinion looks has the advantage to succeed for people who have it, that is the sad fact. In a recent TV show they made a comparison between two girls by sending them both off the streets and making them sell things. Guess who finished first in that survey? The pretty lady with the cute smile. While the other was still struggling to get attention from people to buy her items. Its really unfortunate that people most often see the physical aspects of a person. People sometimes tend to discriminate persons who are not as attractive. Being intelligent and having a good personality likewise would be of great asset. Consider Einstein, Gandhi,and the other great inventors of our history. Looks will always fade. Good personality and brains lasts an impression eternally.

I saw a similar show with someone going for a job interview. A lovely young lady was dressed smartly but in a garment that was padded making her look overweight. A makeup artist accentuated her worst features and her hair was unattractively styled. She acted poised and was well presented. Later, the same person looking her lovely self went along to the same places to have an interview. Same person, same personality. As a big, unattractive girl she was left out. As an attractive girl, she was recalled. Sad.

Well friend in my openion when two people with same level of intellectual capability are compared then oviousy the person with good looks has an edge.
But good looks only work when the person has brain too.
I have seen many people who dont have good look but still they can attract people.

well according to me it does ...
initially it used to depend on ur filed of work but now a days be it ur filedof work or any place in general ur looks have a upper hand.its not tht not so goodlooking people cannot be succesful even if they have brain, but they have to present thmselfs in a very good way.
the bottom line is looks is not all tht matters but yes u have to have a good personality and u should be presentable
