Have you met someone from online?

I only met two guys from online. One from myspace and the other one is from yahoo messenger. The myspace guy is a jerk while the ym guy is the still my boyfriend right now. I'm not saying all Myspacers are jerks but from my past experience...he is one! I think everyone should be careful on meeting someone from online. Some things are not always what we expect.

I am on net and making friends from last 5 years and so far I only met three woman. One was from adult friend finder and other two were from yahoo. All the three were known to me for more than 2 years before we happen to meet and it was pleasent experience for me as before meeting they knew every thing about me and I also knew about them. I think problem comes when people lie and are confused regarding what they realy seeking when they meet.

That's the problem regarding people online, they tend to lie almost about everything because they know it's just on the net or maybe because they don't have any plans on meeting in person.

Actually on net people rework their own personality and show what they would like to be rather what they realy are. From the start I never lied about my age and my married status and I know there were few takers for someone who is in 40's and who is married but I wasn't disaponted as I knew there must be some one who can look beyond my age and married status and feel the person in me.

Yeah, I've met people online and hit it off well in real life. Heck, my best friends at the moment - some of the most amazing people I've ever had in my life - were met online. I lived with one of them - as housemates, not partners - for over a year. The thing is, people in real life lie about who they are all the time, too. Predators and jerks are out there in the real world, and you're as likely to run into one in a bar or club as online.

Yeah...in the real world and cyberworld...there would always be jerks and liars. We just have to be careful on choosing the person we want to be with even as friends or lovers.

yea i too hv met one of my net frnd, he is good enough and we hv a good friendship, its the fact that there are liars in the world, some meet u in the real world and some on net, but on net people tend to tell fake things bout them, so chances are more of u meet jerks there, but my net frnds whom i hv nt met but know sionce 4-5 yrs are very good frnds of mine.

I have meet many people online too coz it was my favorite hobby to always chat. And im sure, there was 90% percent liar and just have 10 percent good people there. For me, I believe to what my online friend say but i never trust them 100%.

That is cool. I have met a couple of guys online, but I really was never into an EB-mode, because I've always been paranoid of meeting someone new and ending up feeling disappointed because he acted like a complete jerk. I'm not saying I'm not gonna change my mind. If I hear more good stories about meeting people from the web to the real world, so to speak, then I might just try that.

It's worth trying if you trust the person. It's a lil scary and if ever you do this, be accompanied by a friend and be very careful. Goodluck!

i met YM guy before. He is my ex-bf now.
i met an MIRC chatter, since 2000... i see him everyday upto now.
we share the same house. :)
we got married. it's almost 3 years now.

I've met quite a few people (both guys and girls) online. With plans to meet a few more in the future.
I've had good experiences as well as bad ones. You just gotta brush it off, and move along.
I met one of my best friends in a random chat about 4 years ago, which I think tends to surprise people.

hi, it's good that you met a nice person online, i don't think i really could meet up with someone tho incase they are jerks or are rude etc. plus i would be a little scared due to the fact i don't know them and alot of things!

Over the span of several years, I've met several people online. Honestly, most of them were jerks but you meet jerks in real life too... I haven't met anyone from the internet for about 4 years I think. And yes, people should always be careful when meeting someone online, even if you've talked for a long time. Go somewhere public, take someone with you.

LOL, Well, I never had anyone become a jerk, but I think myspace is great too, I have 407 friends but still.
Its fun!Yahoo chat gave me a scared expeirence with some girl saying um lets just say im not old enough to do it with her.
Im fifteen, while I was playing a Battlefield 2 video game.

I met my husband online, when i was 13. We have been married for almost 2 years and very happy. But everyone should be carful meeting people offline because you never know if they were just telling you lies (I got lucky)

yes i met some guys from online... i was on a dating site... it something like fun.. at the moment i went at parties organized by the site staff in a latino disco. It was really amazing too so much people that you saw and spoke with them online... it was really fun!
on this site i met my love... we are together for 3 years and a half now... :D
