Why do politicians spending much money during election?

Giving money during election here in philippines is now a tradition of some politician... are they helping or buying the votes of my countrymen.. or may be an investment.More money the higher the chances to win. Here's what i can say "The more money they spend during campaign, more money will go to their pocket", politics is "B" business do you agree?

Yes I agree.
That is why you see some people run for the presidency that konw they have no chance of winning... it is a profitable business.

yes power and money always go together, politics means someone is in the power circle and can get much more business going on and regain much more money than they spent to reach their position.. it's almost impossible to someone without money to get elected to any thing nowadays ..
