Do you prefer womer to wear lingerie sometimes or it doesn't matter?

I like lingerie and my ex used to buy me tons of them. My current boyfriend didn't seem to care as long as we get it on...lol. I like dressing up sometimes and I know that he appreciates it but not as much as my ex does.
Guys? Does it matter? Or a plain pj's would work fine like lingerie?
