My grandson managed to activate a fire extinguisher in my kitchen when he was 5 years old.I have had one hanging on the kitchen wall for years with a house fullof children. My oldest grandson is always the stinker and looking for something to pull. He knew what it was and what it was for. He decided it would be funny to shoot it at his aunts, my 2 daughters that were 5 and 8.As soon as I walked out of the room to get his mom, I heard my youngest say "No,don't do that". By the time I turned & looked around the corner, it was to late.My kitchen was filled with white smokey stuff.Of course,I run around the room shooing the kids out, of course taking deep breathes doing this. I read the label that stated to clean all surfaces because it was corrosive. I called the fire department, after the the guy managed to get rid of his muffled laughs, he told me that anyone exposed to breathing it should stay outside for a few hours.He told me to go ahead and check with the local ER and to definately go in if any of us showed any problems.He also told me that he had inhaled the stuff before, and it wasn't pleasant.The ER told me the same thing. Wouldn't you know it, it was dark and had starting to get cold out.Such a lovely night sighting on the porch, bundled in covers with my 5 kids and 3 grandkids, reminding myself of how much I love my grandson.The little stinker!
